Lauren is trained to treat a variety of conditions and her caseload includes everything from pelvic health, abdominal issues, prenatal and postpartum health, sports injuries, musculoskeletal, neurological and paediatric conditions. After having her two kids, she developed a passion for pelvic health and treating musculoskeletal conditions. She is a firm believer that the more people know about their journey, in pregnancy and postpartum, the smoother the journey will be.
Lauren has a gift for connecting with her patients and strives to create an environment for her clients to feel heard and validated as they navigate their road to recovery. Her approach to physiotherapy focuses on looking at the patient as a whole to get to the root of the problem and includes the use of manual therapy, patient education, dry needling and a strong element of therapeutic exercise. Lauren believes in the importance of understanding your specific goals and tailoring evidence-based treatment.
Lauren graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She then ventured to Edmonton where she completed her Masters in Physiotherapy in 2010. After graduating, she worked in one of the only stand alone rehab centers in the country, The Glenrose Rehab Hospital in Edmonton, working primarily in neurology and pediatrics.
Beyond physiotherapy, Lauren enjoys spending time with family and friends, being out in nature, downhill and cross-country skiing and exploring the beautiful Atlantic provinces.
Fun fact- a way to Lauren’s heart is through a bag of jube jubes!
